3A Narrows recap October 8, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Timberline, who defeated 29th ranked Lincoln, 26-20.
Wilson added to the longest winning streak in 3A Narrows this week by beating North Thurston, 29-9. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Wilson's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Julius Yates-Brown threw for 129 and 2 touchdowns and Brandon Montgomery had 90 yards receiving. On the ground Isaiah Simpson contributed 72 yards. Simpson helped Wilson's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 26 yards.
Montgomery was the best receiver in the league this week as Don Clegg's team defeated the Rams. Montgomery tallied 3 receptions for 90 yards. Simpson helped Wilson's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 26 yards.
Wilson's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Yates-Brown has thrown for 816 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Montgomery has 20 catches for 496 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Foss takes on the Blazers. The Falcons are in third place, while Timberline is in fifth place.
Mt. Tahoma fell to Gig Harbor 56-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
