The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Astoria will square off against Baker at 6:00 PM on Friday. Astoria are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
Astoria might be getting used to good results now that the team has three wins in a row. They walked away with a 21-13 win over Valley Catholic. 21 seems to be a good number for Astoria as the team scooped up a victory with the same point total in their matchup two weeks ago against Molalla.
Meanwhile, Baker took a serious blow against La Grande last Friday, falling 0-35. This makes it the second loss in a row for Baker.
Astoria's win lifted them to 4-4 while Baker's defeat dropped them down to 3-5. We'll see if Astoria's success rolls on or if Baker are able to steal their positive momentum.
