On Thursday Valencia take on Los Alamos at 7:00 PM. Valencia are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Valencia ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Friday. They had just enough and edged out Bloomfield 17-14. Senior Andres Lucero, who accumulated 248 passing yards and picked up 37 yards on the ground, was a major factor in Valencia's success. Lucero has now scored at least one touchdown in the past 6 games.
Meanwhile, Los Alamos took a serious blow against Hope Christian, falling 2-45. Los Alamos' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Valencia's victory lifted them to 4-2 while Los Alamos's loss dropped them down to 4-2. The Valencia defense got after the quarterback against Bloomfield to the tune of ten sacks, so Los Alamos's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the matchup.
