Central took their game against Northeast on Friday by a conclusive 27-2 score. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Central as it put an end to their 3-game losing streak.
Central got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Northeast and cruised to a 20-point first half. Northeast came up with 2 to make it 20-2 heading into the break. The Central defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup.
Senior Donald Lamb, who rushed for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Central's success. The win bumped their record up to 1-3. The defeat dropped Northeast's record to 1-3.
Next week Central take on Jackson at 7:30 PM. Northeast will look to defend their home turf against Bleckley County at 7:30 PM.
