After having lost a blowout to Adams Central in their previous match, Heritage were happy to find some success on Friday. Everything went Heritage's way against Park Tudor as they made off with a 32-6 win. The win was a breath of fresh air for Heritage as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Heritage got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Park Tudor and cruised to a 19-point first half. Park Tudor came up with 6 to make it 19-6 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Heritage in the second half and held Park Tudor to 0 points.
Senior Walter Knapke, who rushed for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Heritage's success. Senior Connor Ray was in the mix, too, providing Heritage with 2 touchdowns. The victory bumped their record up to 1-5. Park Tudor are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
Heritage will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Bluffton. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. As for Park Tudor, they will face off against Speedway. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with six consecutive losses for Park Tudor and four for Speedway.
