AA District 3 recap September 10, 2013
Carter and Pigeon Forge played the closest game in AA District 3 this week, with Carter eventually emerging with a 27-24 victory. Jonathan Freeman threw for 131 yards and ran for 19 yards during the win.
Fulton took down Austin-East 63-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Penny Smith threw for 112 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 18 yards in the win.
Smith and Daryl Rollins-Davis gave the Falcons a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Xavier Hawkins also contributed to the rushing game with 28 yards on the ground.

Rollins-Davis provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Rob Black's team bested the Roadrunners. Rollins-Davis' favorite target this week was Hawkins, who caught 2 passes for 45 yards.

Sidney Jackson was a key player and the best on defense this week as Fulton defeated Robert Gillard's team. The 5-foot-9 senior.
Charles Mitchell was the best receiver in the league this week as the Hornets topped the Tigers. Mitchell racked up 3 receptions for 105 yards. Hank Black helped Carter's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 24 yards.
Rollins-Davis was the best running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 190 yards as the Falcons topped Pigeon Forge.
5-foot-11 quarterback Freeman of Heath Woods' team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 437. He has also thrown 9 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jeremy Odom. The Gatlinburg-Pittman star has 5 catches for 199 yards.
