On Friday Madison take on St. Augustine at 6:30 PM. Madison are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
After a disappointing seven points in their last matchup, Madison made sure to put some points up on the board against Point Loma last Friday. Madison were able to grind out a solid victory over Point Loma, winning 45-33. Senior Kenan Christon, who rushed for 153 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Madison's success.
Meanwhile, the match between St. Augustine and Cathedral Catholic was not a total blowout, but with St. Augustine falling 14-34, it was darn close. St. Augustine were down by 7-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Madison's win lifted them to 5-2 while St. Augustine's defeat dropped them down to 5-2. The Madison defense got after the quarterback against Point Loma to the tune of five sacks, so St. Augustine's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the match.
