6A District 6 recap November 19, 2013
Springstead extended the longest winning streak in 6A District 6 this week by beating Citrus, 21-6. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Eagles.
Springstead moved up to 101 from 149 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Mike Garofano's team climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Hurricanes 21-6.
Sunlake's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver.
Land O'Lakes's James Pensyl and Liam Heaney have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-6 quarterback Pensyl has thrown for 2,345 yards this season, while Heaney has 48 catches for 690 yards. The Seahawks' Nathan Johnson leads the league in rushing yards with 1,385.
The Eagles took down Citrus 21-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
