Adding to the longest winning streak in 6A District 16 this week, Central beat Northwestern 44-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Rockets.
Carol City and Homestead played the most contested game in the league this week, with Carol City eventually emerging with a 23-20 victory.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Central and the Chiefs. Roland Smith's team comes into the matchup ranked second in the state, while Carol City ranks 17th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Rockets take on Aubrey Hill's team. Central has allowed 102 points this season, while the Chiefs have given up 138. The Rockets allowed 13 points last week as they bested the Bulls.
Northwestern lost to Central 44-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
