There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. We'll tackle all that (plus a new number one team) in this week's report.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between John Curtis Christian (1st in the power rankings) and St. Augustine (10th). John Curtis Christian took its game by a score of 31 - 22. The game left the power rankings pretty much the same, although it did hoist itself up one spot.
Big Showdown
It was a battle of top-notch squads when John Ehret (32nd in the state) took on Landry-Walker (16th) last week. John Ehret wasn't able to scrape together any points, falling to Landry-Walker 30 - 0. John Ehret unfortunately couldn't repeat the imposing 67-point effort it came up with in its previous game.
No Stoppin 'Em
There were a lot of high-scoring contests in the power rankings last week, but the 84-point effort in this one put it right at the top of the list. Everything went St. Paul's's way against Ponchatoula as it secured a 63 - 21 win. At 42 points, that marked St. Paul's's largest margin of victory so far this year.
