If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for West Scranton. They will challenge Honesdale on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. West Scranton don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
West Scranton didn't have too many spare points in their matchup with Abington Heights last Friday, but they still walked away with a 32-27 win.
Meanwhile, if Honesdale were riding high off their 49-13 takedown of Montrose two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Honesdale lost to North Pocono by a decisive 21-41 margin. Honesdale were down by 14-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
The last time the two teams met, West Scranton won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Honesdale 29-28. Will West Scranton repeat their success, or does Honesdale have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
