After flying high against Southern Valley last Friday, Bridgeport came back down to earth. Bridgeport didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 22-26 to Gordon-Rushville on Friday. If Bridgeport were hoping to take revenge for the 8-40 defeat against Gordon-Rushville the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
The loss dropped Bridgeport's record to 2-6. The win bumped Gordon-Rushville's record up to 3-5.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Bridgeport will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Hershey. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. Gordon-Rushville will stay at home against St. Patrick's at 6:00 PM. St. Patrick's have averaged 38.2 points over the course of their past four games, so Gordon-Rushville might be in for a challenge.
