TAPPS Division II District 1 recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in TAPPS Division II District 1 this week, Midland Christian beat Reicher Catholic 50-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Mustangs.
Pantego Christian moved up to 862 from 902 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Panthers were able to move up by beating Dallas HSAA North 56-27.
Mason McClendon threw for 259 yards and 6 touchdowns.
McClendon put up the best numbers through the air as Midland Christian bested the Cougars. McClendon's favorite target this week was Jarrod Koym, who caught 5 passes for 91 yards.
Greg McClendon's team's McClendon and Koym led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback McClendon has thrown for 2,994 yards this season, while Koym has 42 catches for 861 yards. Brad Horner from Grace Prep leads the league in rushing with 912 yards.
In 151 carries Horner has put up 912 yards this year.
Southwest Christian fell to Fort Worth Christian 53-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
