Appling County added to the longest winning streak in AAA Region 1 this week by beating Southeast Bulloch, 42-21. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Pirates.
Pierce County took down Brantley County 57-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Trey Dillard was a beast in the backfield as Savannah fell to Beach.
Dillard was a passing and rushing force as the Bluejackets lost to the Bulldogs. Dillard's favorite target this week was Dillard, who caught 4 passes for 82 yards.
Dillard was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 210 yards on 19 carries as Savannah fell to Beach.
5-foot-6 quarterback Raquan Green of Johnson is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,314. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jermaine Williams. The Savannah star has 29 catches for 649 yards.
Ulysses Hawthorne's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,181 from 11,720. The advance stemmed from a 34-20 victory over Tim Jordan's team last week.
