If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Paramount. On Friday they will take on Gahr at 7:00 PM. Paramount don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Paramount might be getting used to good results now that the squad has three wins in a row. They took their game against Dominguez last Friday by a conclusive 26-0 score. No one put up better numbers for Paramount than junior Kingston Hala, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 174 yards and 3 touchdowns. That makes it four straight good games in a row from Hala.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Lynwood two weeks ago, Gahr came back down to earth. Gahr found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-46 punch to the gut against Warren. Gahr were down by 14-39 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Paramount had enough points to win and then some against Gahr the last time the two teams met, taking their contest 28-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paramount since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
