Rye Neck (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) notched 14 points on top of its 37-point lead going into the fourth quarter to win against Blind Brook (Rye Brook, N.Y.) 51-0.
After taking the lead on a
Jakob Calvini touchdown run in the first quarter, the Panthers led 30-0 at the half.
Rye Neck expanded its lead to 37 points entering the fourth quarter. RN's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by
Ryan Morningstar.
Morningstar and Calvini ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Trojans. Morningstar scored four touchdowns on the ground and Calvini added two as well.
The Mamaroneck school got revenge for last year's 14-6 loss to Blind Brook with the victory.
The loss comes after Blind Brook defeated Palisade Prep 20-0 last week. The win brought Rye Neck's winning streak to four games. The loss broke Blind Brook's two-game winning streak.
Blind Brook (2-2) goes up against Tuckahoe in a Section 1 C/D game matchup next week, while Rye Neck (4-0) locks horns with Valhalla also in a Section 1 C/D game.
