4A Piedmont Triad recap Oct. 30, 2012
East Forsyth extended the longest winning streak in 4A Piedmont Triad this week by beating Glenn, 50-7. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.
Parkland and Southwest Guilford played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Parkland eventually emerging with a 21-19 victory.
Justin Johnson and Justin Johnson gave High Point Central a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Johnson threw for 181 yards and one touchdown, while Johnson ran for 115 yards. Kavin Logan also contributed to the rushing game with 81 yards on the ground.
Paul Jones was the best wideout in the league this week as East Forsyth defeated the Bobcats. Jones racked up four receptions for 101 yards. Ace Miller helped East Forsyth's passing attack out by catching two balls for 37 yards.
High Point Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bison feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 2153 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Jawan Foggie has 56 catches for 833 yards. Johnson also leads the league in rushing with 1043 yards.
The Bison made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,158 from 1,356. The improvement came about via a 27-9 victory over Ragsdale last week.
