Charleston extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region 4 this week by beating Cedarville, 46-6. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Charleston took down the Pirates 46-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ty Storey threw for 282 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win.
Greg Kendrick's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Austin Pittman contributed 48 yards. Chance Shelby helped Charleston's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 82 yards.
He went 14-19 with 0 interceptions.
Storey put up the best numbers through the air as the Tigers beat Cedarville. Storey's favorite target this week was Pittman, who caught 4 passes for 94 yards.
Charleston's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Storey has thrown for 2,360 yards and 26 touchdowns this season, while Shelby has 42 catches for 634 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Paris takes on Lamar. As it stands, the Eagles are in third, while the Warriors are in second.
Danville made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,573 from 11,781. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 13-12 victory over the Little Johns last week.
