GULF BREEZE, Fla. - After trading leads two times,
Wakulla (Crawfordville, Fla.) snatched the lead for good when it scored a touchdown in the third quarter, paving the way for victory over
Gulf Breeze (Fla.) 35-19.
The Dolphins pulled ahead on a touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 13-7. The War Eagles took the lead for good with a touchdown in the third quarter.
With the win Wakulla extended its winning streak to 11 games. WHS defeated the Gators 24-8 last week.
Demetrius Lindsey was the top performer for the Crawfordville school. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
Gulf Breeze came in surrendering 16.6 points per game this season. GB struggled against the War Eagles, which came in averaging 36.3 points per game.
A 33-14 Wakulla victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
