This week's postseason excitement didn't throw the rankings into complete disarray, but it did reorder the standings a decent amount. Among the action were the efforts of Lamar's junior Jack Dawson, an offensive menace who scored five total TDs.
Welcome
It isn't too difficult to come out on top when you enjoy a 261-yard edge over your opponent, and Birdville had just that last week. It picked up a decisive 'W' against Cooper, finishing up at 49 - 14. Birdville made sure to walk the walk to justify being talked up as the big favorite. Thanks to its success, Birdville cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 21st spot.
Can't Touch This
Bishop Lynch got a 42 - 35 win over St. Thomas Catholic last week, and a key reason for the win was junior Charles Crawford iii. Crawford iii earned four touchdowns and 375 yards rushing the ball. That performance made Crawford iii one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Trinity (15th in the power rankings) and Carroll (4th). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Don't be surprised if the score for this one pushes triple digits as Trinity and Carroll both racked up points last week.
