We left Dallas this morning and are spending the night in Alexandria, which is smack in the middle of Louisiana. I guess you could say we took the liberty to sleep in a bit today, considering that Chris woke up just before 2 p.m. We were up late last night trying to send our video back to headquarters so you all can enjoy it as soon as possible. The game last night was a hard fought battle in front of 12,000 strong and I believe we got some awesome video of the hard hits, big plays, and all the action.
I wanted to make sure I recognized the sportsmanship out on the field, I lost count of how many times those guys would pick up their opponent after the play. I don't know why, but I just love to see guys doing that instead of some showboat session after a good play. I think it speaks volumes about the character of an individual. Anyways, both of these teams appeared to have a great deal of respect for each other and their programs should remain powers for a long time to come.
Tomorrow we will head down New Orleans to check out the city. I was there several years ago and I have heard there is still a lot of work to be done to return the city to what it once was. We will be in search for some good po-boys and crawdads for dinner and then we will head out to Florida, just another day for the Tour I guess.
