Tate and Choctawhatchee are both heading into their Friday contest this week after losing their previous games. Tate came up short against Escambia last week, falling 37 - 27. As for Choctawhatchee, it has to be hurting after the devastating 42 - 10 loss at the hands of Niceville last week.
Tate put on a good show in the second half of its contest (the squad netted 27 points), but after a slow start in the first it just wasn't enough. That was its first loss at home this season. The loss dropped Tate's record to 6-2.
Meanwhile, with the halftime score sitting at 35 - 3, Choctawhatchee just had too much of a disadvantage to overcome in its last match. It wasn't able to keep up yardage-wise, falling behind with 143 yards in comparison to Niceville's 371. Choctawhatchee's record fell to 1-8 after the loss.
Choctawhatchee is looking to hand Tate its first back-to-back losses of the season. We'll find out if Tate can avoid giving it that satisfaction.
