Stonington (3-6) is ten games into its season, but it hasn't met anyone harder than the team challenging it next. It takes on Westerly (5-6) this Thursday at 10:00 AM. Stonington has a win under its belt but has never won back-to-back; of course, Westerly will be hoping to keep it that way.
Stonington brought the heat last game after its low-scoring effort (seven points) in the match before. It dominated last week, steamrollering Thames River co-op [Norwich RVT/Grasso RVT/St. Bernard] 49 - 6. That 43-point margin marks the most Stonington has won by all season. As for Westerly, it wasn't too far behind, but it still lost 17 - 13 to Moses Brown last week.
The last time they met, Stonington walked away with a 14 - 0 win. Will it come out on top again? We'll soon find out.
