Giles County can consider this payback for the 34-52 defeat they dealt East Nashville Magnet the last time the teams encountered one another.
East Nashville Magnet's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 44 first-half points. Giles County countered with 27 points, leaving the score at 44-27 going into the half. East Nashville Magnet put the game away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
Senior Rondarius Gregory was the offensive standout of the match for East Nashville Magnet, as he rushed for 196 yards and 3 touchdowns. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Tyler Fletcher, who racked up 14 tackles. The victory bumped East Nashville Magnet's record up to 7-0. The loss dropped Giles County back to even at 3-3.
East Nashville Magnet will be playing at home against Lipscomb Academy at at 7:00 PM next week. Lipscomb Academy took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse East Nashville Magnet's good fortune. As for Giles County, they will face off against Marshall County.
