Levelland, a Class 4A power, has done its damage in 30 games.
Just one run behind with 285 despite playing five fewer games is Class 3A power Clyde. The Bulldogs average 11.4 runs per game.
Next is Class 2A Windthorst with 281 runs in 30 games.
At the top of Class 5A are a pair of teams from District 8. Richland (North Richland Hills) leads Heritage (Colleyville) by two runs, 269-267, but Heritage has played two fewer games.
Lubbock Christian, a member of TAPPS Division III, is the current state leader with 290 runs.
