Everything went Valley Christian's way against Clovis West on Friday as they made off with a 42-20 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for Valley Christian.
Valley Christian's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. Clovis West came up with 13 to make it 21-13 heading into the break. The Valley Christian defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match.
No one put up better numbers for Valley Christian than senior Thomas Dunham, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 75 yards on the ground and snatched 1 receiving TD. On the defensive end, senior Justin Dewitt was a one-man blockade for them with 3 sacks and 10 tackles. The victory bumped Valley Christian's record up to 2-1. Clovis West are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.
Valley Christian will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at Kezar Stadium in two weeks at 7:00 PM. As for Clovis West, they will face off against Bullard.
