PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - After swapping the lead two times,
Huntingtown (Md.) took the lead for the win when
Robbie Payne ran for a touchdown in the third quarter, paving the way for victory over
Calvert (Prince Frederick, Md.) 21-14.
The score was knotted at 14 heading into the half. The Hurricanes took the lead for good on a touchdown run by Payne in the third quarter.
Huntingtown also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 21-14.
The win brought Huntingtown's winning streak to three games.
In a Southern Maryland game next week Calvert (1-2) takes on Lackey, and Huntingtown (3-0) will go up against Leonardtown also in a Southern Maryland game.
