South Yosemite recap October 8, 2013
South extended the longest winning streak in South Yosemite this week by beating North, 20-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Rebels.
Golden Valley took down Foothill 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
West's dynamic duo of Enrique Salazar and Fondereaux Wilson proved tough for Tehachapi to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Salazar threw for 67 yards and 1 touchdown and Wilson had 37 yards receiving. John Hinojosa helped West's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 11 yards.
Asonte Johnson made the biggest impact on defense this week as South bested the Stars. The 6-foot-1 senior nabbed 1 interception.
ERIC MADRIGAL was a passing and rushing force as Mira Monte lost to Highland. He completed 5 passes for 69 yards and also ran for 31 yards. MADRIGAL's favorite target this week was BILLY COLLINS, who caught 2 passes for 34 yards.

Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Rebels' Evans goes up against the Vikings' Tylor Williams.
Next week's game between South and West will feature a good passing match up as Perez will test his arm against Williams' defensive ability.
At the moment, the Rebels are in first, while Mark Camps' team is in third.
Golden Valley led the league in scoring this week by notching 47 points on the Trojans.
