SMITH CENTER, Kan. - Special teams carried
Beloit (Kan.) to a 36-14 victory over
Smith Center (Kan.) on Saturday as the return units contributed two touchdowns. The special teams of the Trojans scored on a kick return and a punt return.
After taking the lead on a kick return in the first quarter, Beloit led 20-0 at the half.
BHS saw its 20-point halftime lead decrease to 12 entering the fourth.
A 16-point fourth quarter was enough to cement the win for the Trojans, as they pushed the final margin of victory to 22.
The victory was a completely different match up compared to last season's game between these two teams, which the Redmen took, 33-8.
The loss comes after Smith Center defeated Norton 34-13 last week.
