Dayton were the first on the board but had to settle for second in the end in their matchup against Porter on Friday. Dayton have to be aching after a bruising 16-48 loss to Porter. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Dayton of the 36-42 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head.
Dayton are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3. The victory bumped Porter's record up to 2-1.
Dayton will look to defend their home turf in two weeks against Barbers Hill at 7:30 PM. Porter will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against Kingwood Park at 6:00 PM.
