After losing to Granite Falls the last time they met, Klahowya decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Klahowya were the clear victor by a 37-7 margin over Granite Falls. Klahowya were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Klahowya got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Granite Falls and cruised to a 16-point first half. Meanwhile, Granite Falls couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 16-0 heading into the break. The Klahowya defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The victory bumped their record up to 2-1. Granite Falls are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Klahowya will look to defend their home turf next week against Chimacum at 7:15 PM. Granite Falls will stay at home against Forks at 2:00 PM. Granite Falls come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
