This Thursday at 10:30 AM, Salem (7-3) faces Woodstown (4-5). Salem might be a bit distressed seeing as how its point totals have been consistently dropping over the past three games.
Salem lost to Paulsboro 28 - 20 last week. Unfortunately, the defeat ended Salem's five-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, Woodstown received a tough blow two weeks ago as it fell 28 - 8 to Gateway Regional. Even without the glory of a win, however, sophomore Jamason Taylor still made his mark on the game as he picked up 154 yards on the ground. This sound performance was nothing new for Taylor, who has been a rock for Woodstown in the past four games. Additional support came from senior Josh Bosco, a defensive powerhouse who racked up 14 tackles.
The last time they met, Salem was the 36 - 10 victor. The rematch might be a little tougher for it since the team will be on Woodstown's home field this time. We'll soon find out whether that makes a difference or not.
