Stratford (Wis.) came into Saturday's contest ranked No. 16 in Wisconsin, but was stunned by
Marathon (Wis.), 16-0. Marathon was ranked at No. 67 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Wisconsin coming into the week.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Red Raiders were up 8-0 at the half.
The victory was a completely different match up compared to last season's game between these two teams, which the Tigers took, 67-46.
The defeat comes as a step back for Stratford, which notched a 13-0 victory over Regis in its previous outing. The loss ended Stratford's three-game winning streak. The win brought Marathon's winning streak to four games.
