New Milford were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were the clear victor with a 37-6 margin. That result is just more of the same for them, who also won the last time these teams played.
New Milford's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 17 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Harrison couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 17-0 heading into the break. The New Milford defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the match.
No one put up better numbers for New Milford than senior Bart Nativo, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Christian Mastropierro, who racked up 11 tackles. The victory bumped New Milford's record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Harrison back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. New Milford will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Elmwood Park. Harrison are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Hawthorne at 7:00 PM.
