Eisenhower might be getting used to good results now that the team have eight wins in a row. They dodged a bullet on Friday, finishing off San Gorgonio 21-20.
It took a quarter to shake off the cobwebs, but after zero first-quarter points, the Eisenhower offense picked up 14 points in the second quarter. San Gorgonio countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 14-6 going into the half. Eisenhower almost let the matchup get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it. They added further sheen to their flawless record, now 8-0. The defeat dropped San Gorgonio's record to 5-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Eisenhower take on Jurupa Hills at 7:00 PM. Eisenhower have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Jurupa Hills are surely hoping to exploit. As for San Gorgonio, they will face off against Rialto. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
