WADSWORTH, Ohio - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter,
Wadsworth (Ohio) held on for a 14-13 victory over
Wooster (Ohio) on Saturday. The difference for the Grizzlies was that
Martice Jackson ran for a touchdown.
The Generals pulled ahead on a field goal, and subsequently went into halftime leading 10-0. The Grizzlies scored the winning points with a Jackson touchdown run that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring seven points in the third, Wadsworth still trailed by three points going into the fourth quarter. But seven points in the fourth helped the Grizzlies pull out the victory.
Wooster's lone touchdown came on a 2-yard pass in the second quarter.
A 42-35 Wadsworth victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
Wadsworth (2-0) will play a non-conference game against Medina next week, while Wooster (0-2) will take on Chagrin Falls also in a non-conference game.
