After having lost a blowout in their game last week, Perris were happy to find some success on Thursday. They had enough points to win and then some against Canyon Springs, taking their game 37-20.
Canyon Springs got a solid performance out of junior Damon Hicks, who picked up 154 yards on the ground and accumulated 147 passing yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Robert Tovar, who racked up 12 tackles.
The win bumped Perris' record up to 2-4. Canyon Springs are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-7.
Next week Perris take on Orange Vista at 7:00 PM. As for Canyon Springs, they will face off against JW North.
