Both Williams Valley and Old Forge have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Friday at 7:00 PM to determine who is worthy to move on. If Williams Valley wants to avoid dropping the game, it will first need to focus on holding onto the ball since the team had three turnovers last game.
Williams Valley kept its home record unblemished after another positive outing on its own turf. It earned a pretty comfortable 26 - 6 victory over Tri-Valley last week. One of the main ringleaders for Williams Valley was senior Dylan Rabuck, who rushed for 305 yards and two touchdowns. This marked the 12th consecutive game in which Rabuck had 100+ rushing yards.
Meanwhile, Old Forge has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling eight) after its most recent game. It dominated last week, steamrollering Delaware County Christian 41 - 0.
Their wins bumped Williams Valley to 12-0 and Old Forge to 11-1. Since both teams have excelled on the defensive side of the ball (Williams Valley allowing an average of 12 points per game, Old Forge an average of 12), we'll see which team's offense handles things best when they meet this week.
