Katie McConville, a senior opposite side hitter for Haldane High School, has been named the MaxPreps/AVCA New York High School volleyball Player of the Week. She earned the award for her key play in leading the Blue Devils to an impressive 26-1 record to date, including wins in their last 14 outings.
Through her last five games, McConville drilled 16 kills and served up seven aces. She added four blocks, three assists and eight digs.
Haldane is coached by Joel Stanford.
