On Friday Woodmont will take on Easley at 7:30 PM. Both teams are tiptoeing into their game after sneaking past their previous opponents.
Woodmont might be getting used to good results now that the team has four wins in a row. Last Friday, they narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Westside 31-28. Woodmont found Woodmont's leader in underclassman sophomore Josh Kamoto, who rushed for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Kamoto's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past four games.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Easley, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They skirted past Greenwood 24-21. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 4-4. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Check back in with MaxPreps after the game is over for details.
