South Plainfield and North Plainfield go head to head this Thursday at 10:30 AM. North Plainfield's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a South Plainfield defense that got six sacks against Hamilton in its previous game.
South Plainfield is still under.500 but has been making strides to fix that in its last two games. Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, it beat Hamilton 21 - 17 two weeks ago. Junior Zachary Delvecchio deserves a lot of the credit as he rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns. This marked the 4th consecutive game in which Delvecchio had 100+ rushing yards. Additional support came from junior Dondre' Tate, a defensive powerhouse who racked up 12 tackles. Meanwhile, North Plainfield crushed Princeton two weeks ago, winning 54 - 0.
Their wins bumped North Plainfield to 1-9 and South Plainfield to 4-5. We'll find out on Thursday which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when North Plainfield and South Plainfield clash.
