Each week during the season (regular and post), there will be a fan-generated contest to tab weekly winners. Each winner receives an award patch for their varsity jacket and a digital badge (below) on their MaxPreps player page.
How does it work? Nominees are selected from statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may request their free account here. Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll. Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners (2 per week) are announced the next day along with the next week's nominees.
Participants may vote as many times as they want. It's a competition.

Week 2 Ohio High Shool Athletes of the Week
* Joel Lambiotte, Fairland (Proctorville) FootballA
week after throwing four six touchdowns in a win over Tolsia (WV), the
senior quarterback threw for four more, including the game-winner to
Gavin Hunt with 38 seconds left, in a 35-31 win over Athens.
* Davion Daniels, Hubbard FootballSenior
quarterback carried the ball 23 times for 223 yards and three
touchdowns and completed 9-of-10 passes for 116 yards and three
touchdowns in a 48-32 win over Girard.
Week 3 Ohio High Shool Athlete of the Week Nominees
* Cameron Blair & Dante Tucci, Sandy Valley (Magnolia) Football
Tandem came up huge in a 50-29 win over Tuscarawas Valley. Blair, a sophomore quarterback, completed 23-of-34 passes for 362 yards and six touchdowns. Through three games he’s tossed 12 TDs and zero interceptions. Tucci, a senior receiver, caught nine passes for 210 yards and four touchdowns.
* Tiana Drake, LaBrae (Leavittsburg) Volleyball
Junior had 66 kills, including 34 in a five-set win over Brookfield, as the Vikings went 4-0 last week.
2018 Ohio High School Football Statewide Stat Leaders
* Jalan January, Bishop Hartley (Columbus) Football
Junior running back carried the ball 25 times for 225 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-19 win over Ready. Also added five tackles at cornerback.
* Parsa Parandakhteh, Grand River Academy (Austinburg) Boys Soccer
Sophomore scored six goals and added an assist in a 15-0 win over Lawrence Upper.
2018 Ohio High School Volleyball Statewide Stat Leaders
* Alissa Rhodes, Liberty-Benton (Findlay) Volleyball
Junior setter had 186 assists, including 68 in a five-set win over Leipsic, as the Eagles went 4-0 last week.
* Ava Ayers, Lake (Millbury) Girls Soccer
Freshman scored five goals in a 9-0 win over Rossford. Added two goals and an assist in a 3-3 tie with Wapakoneta.
2018 Ohio High School Boys Soccer Statewide Stat Leaders
* Caden Hostetler, Indian Valley (Gnadenhutten) Football
Senior accounted for five touchdowns in a 58-13 win over Minerva. Carried the ball six times for 123 yards and four touchdowns and returned a kickoff 76 yards for a touchdown.
2018 Ohio High School Girls Soccer Statewide Stat Leaders
* Omar Gomez Davila, Willard Boys SoccerFreshman scored five goals and added an assist in an 11-4 win over Old Fort.
