Weddington took down Marvin Ridge 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Warriors led 3A Conference 8 in scoring this week by notching 52 points on Marvin Ridge.
Albert Funderburk provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Sun Valley lost to Anson. Funderburk's key target this week was Nigel Wiley, who caught 3 passes for 35 yards.
BJ Muckelvene was the best wideout in the league this week as Cuthbertson beat Piedmont. Muckelvene racked up 7 receptions for 100 yards. JT Cauthen helped Cuthbertson's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 22 yards.
The Cavaliers' Steven Fusco and Muckelvene led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Fusco has thrown for 1,609 yards this season, while Muckelvene has 44 catches for 632 yards. The Spartans' Funderburk leads the league in rushing yards with 2,023.
Jekev Robinson of the the Bearcats is just 74 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 164 carries Robinson has put up 926 yards this year.
Cuthbertson made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,601 from 6,266. The improvement was the result of a 28-21 victory over the Panthers last week.
