The Latest: Defeated La Costa Canyon, 8-3, in San Diego Section Div. 1 final.
Highlights: Drew Leininger picked up the win for the Titans, allowing just two earned runs in four and a third innings on the mound. Meanwhile teammate Donovan Dooney was 2-for-3 with four RBI in the 8-3 victory over La Costa Canyon.

9. Rocky Mountain (Fort Collins, Colo.), 23-4

The Latest: Defeated Long Beach Wilson 4-1 in Southern Section Division 1 final.
Highlights: Drew Sandler baffled Wilson for seven innings, allowing just one run on four hits for Simi Valley. The Pioneers scored three runs in the ninth inning on an error on a pickoff play and a two-run double by Nick Russo.

12. Plano West (Plano, Texas), 38-2
The Latest: Def. Georgetown 0-7, 13-3, 9-0 in Texas 5A regional final.
Highlights: Ryan Ford paced an eight-run fourth inning in a 9-0 win over Georgetown as he had a solo home run and a grand slam for Plano West. Ben Flora was the winning pitcher for Plano West.

Highlights: Tyler Zeigler threw a four-hit shutout to lift El Toro to the section championship. Andrew Marian had a three-run triple in the seventh inning and Garrett Donohoe had an RBI double in the sixth for the Chargers.

18. Grossmont (El Cajon, Calif.), 29-7
The Latest: Def. Oceanside 11-5 in San Diego Section Division 2 final.
Highlights: The Foothillers became the first San Diego school to win four straight section championships after beating Oceanside 11-5. Derek Baum sparked Grossmont with a two-run double to highlight a five-run first inning.

19. Brookwood (Snellville, Ga.), 34-3
The Latest: Def. Walton 3-2, 6-3 in Georgia 5A final.
Highlights: The Broncos got two solid pitching efforts from Alex Beebe and Chase Hawkins to sweep Walton 3-2 and 6-3 in the 5A playoffs. Ross Heffley had a walk-off home run in the seventh inning in the 3-2 win. Hawkins set a school record by picking up his 14th win of the season.

The Latest: Def. Flower Mound 14-4, 4-3 in Texas 5A regional final.
Highlights: Shaun McPeters hit a pair of doubles and Ronnie Mitchell homered for the Dragons in a 4-3 victory. Tanner Toal had a pair of doubles in a 14-4 win over Flower Mound with Andrew LaCombe also adding a two-bagger.

24. Westside (Houston, Texas), 31-4
The Latest: Lost to Bellaire 3-2, 0-2, 0-6 in Texas 5A regional final.
Highlights: Westside was eliminated in three games by Bellaire in the Texas 5A regional finals. Taylor Wall, 14-1 on the season, picked up a win in the first game of the series, beating Bellaire 3-2 by allowing two hits and striking out 10.
