State Championship: Grand Island (20-14) def. Millard West (30-8), 7-6.
*Eighth-seeded Grand Island rode the arm and bat of Kash Kalkowski en route to a first round upset of Omaha Creighton Prep and eventually the Class A state championship. Kalkowski entered the tournament with a 4-1 record from the mound and won two games at the tournament before saving the state title victory over Millard West.
