Video: Missouri team wins 102-0
See Greenfield put up record first-half points in a big win on Friday.
Greenfield (Mo.) was a touchdown away from the record book. The Wildcats nearly shattered a 98-year-old record when they blitzed to a 96-point first half in a 102-0 rout Friday of Northwest (Hughesville, Mo.).
The old record of 101 first-half points was set by Eugene (Ore.) against Cottage Grove in October 1919, according to the
NFHS record book.
Friday's 102-point win was the third-largest in Missouri history,
according to the Missouri State High School Activities Association record book. Greenfield quarterback
Bailey Baker completed six passes — five for scores — and ran for two more.
Gage Burns paved the way with 111 total yards and four touchdowns on five rushes, and one interception on defense.
Greenfield has put up 50 or more points in four of it's games this year and improved to 5-1 with the win.
