Brynn Lettieri of Westhampton Beach High School in Westhampton Beach, N.Y., has been named the MaxPreps/AVCA New York High School volleyball Player of the Week. She earned the award for her key play in leading the Hurricanes to a 19-2 record to date, including its current eight-game win streak.
Defeating Garden City in five games last week, Lettieri chalked up 23 kills for a 4.6 kills per game average. Lettieri looks to lead her team to a state title during the championships this weekend.
Westhampton Beach is coached by Lenny Zaloga.
