Keep an eye on the score for this one: both Rio Vista and Galileo put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they play one another this week. Rio Vista breezed past Ripon Christian two weeks ago with a final score of 56 - 28. As for Galileo, it blew past Mission last week 50 - 28.
Rio Vista might be getting used to wins now that the team has gotten five in a row. It got the good result in part due to three touchdowns from senior Dakota Mills, who has now contributed at least one touchdown in the past four games. Junior Ryan Hurley banked an additional three TDs for the team. The win bumped Rio Vista's record up to 9-3.
Meanwhile, Galileo got an early lead and maintained it, starting each quarter with an advantage. It was already ahead 38 - 0 by the end of the half, putting Mission too far behind. The win got Galileo up to 9-2.
Both Galileo and Rio Vista are bound to feel confident after their prior matchups, but one team's ego will take a hit. Check back on MaxPreps to find out which one when the teams meet up this week.
