6A District 7 recap December 3, 2013
Henry Clay was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after a bye. The Blue Devils came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
Scott County extended the longest winning streak in 6A District 7 this week by beating Male, 24-10. The win marks 14th in a row for the the Cardinals.
Scott County's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Clay Mckee threw for 41 and 1 touchdown and Clark Griffith had 29 yards receiving. On the ground Keith Guy contributed 106 yards. Guy helped Scott County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 12 yards.
Kevin Claussen was a passing and rushing force as Jim McKee's team topped the Bulldogs.
Griffith was the best receiver in the league this week as the Cardinals topped Male. Griffith racked up 1 reception for 29 yards. Guy helped Scott County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 12 yards.
Scott County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cardinals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Mckee has thrown for 1,120 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, while Scott Daniel has 30 catches for 453 yards.
Bryan Station made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,017 from 2,435.
