6A District 2 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Broken Arrow was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 6A District 2. Earlier in the week, the Tigers defeated Westmoore 26-13.
Jenks extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Putnam City, 46-14. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Bixby's dynamic duo of Marshall Ray and Marcus Jordan proved tough for Muskogee to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Ray threw for 385 yards and four touchdowns and Jordan had 187 yards receiving. Kyle Rhine helped Bixby's passing attack out by catching eight balls for 139 yards.
Trey'Vonne Barr'e was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 136 yards on eight carries as Jenks bested the Roughers. Teammate Brett Tye added to the ground attack by rushing for 72 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Ray of Bixby is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1366. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. On the ground, Allan Trimble's team's Barr'e has rushed for 1365 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jordan Smallwood. The Jenks star has 32 catches for 612 yards.
The Trojans led the league in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on the Pirates. Kyle Alexander threw for 234 yards and two touchdowns and ran for six yards in the win.
